About Us

Little Hooves Petting Zoo is a small, family-run business based in the Hawkesbury, created from a love of animals and a desire to share that joy with other families.

I’m a primary school teacher and a mum to young children, and animals have always been a big part of our everyday life. Our animals are raised at home and handled daily, not just by adults, but alongside our own kids. This means they’re used to small, gentle hands.

Because of my background in teaching, every visit is guided with children in mind. Experiences are relaxed, inclusive, and thoughtfully paced, allowing kids to feel comfortable while learning how to interact respectfully with animals. They are given the space to explore, connect, observe, and enjoy the moment.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do. Our animals are never overwhelmed and are given regular breaks, familiar routines, and plenty of care and attention. We focus on creating a calm environment that feels safe for both the animals and the children meeting them.

We offer intimate animal experiences for birthdays, private events, schools, and community gatherings, bringing a little slice of the farm to you.
